Diversity Rules - James Koury (press coverage)

James Koury has been in the public arena for many years. He has been the City Clerk in the City of Oneonta, NY, since 1992 and is the Editor of Diversity Rules Magazine. He is very active in his hometown community of Oneonta and is a passionate advocate for queer causes and equality for all. He started Diversity Rules Magazine in 2006 because his area of New York had very little in the way of written publications for the queer community. Diversity Rules Magazine is now New York's premier queer monthly publication serving the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer and questioning community and its friends. It began as a printed publication but is currently in digital format at www.diversityrulesmagazine.com with the intention of returning to print media when resources allow.

Mr. Koury is an avid writer, a novice artist, and an all around eclectic individual with a very liberal outlook on life, politics and social issues. He makes no apologies for his stand on issues and believes everyone should express their own true selves in their own way. He lives by Aristotle’s quote, “It is the mark of an educated mind to entertain a thought without accepting it.” His mission is to get people to think and think for themselves regardless of one’s belief systems.

He currently lives in Oneonta. He is single and lives with his dog Ozmo and his three feline companions; Emmie, Gooba and Izzy.
