Fine Tuned

We have a new fundraising campaign awaiting launch and about to cancel the Kickstarter. It would have ended before we had the chance to truly take this to the LGBTQUI community!

And what a loss of an opportunity, it would have ended before AIDS WALK and PRIDE.

Before we approached any sponsor (yes, just getting that together).

But fundraising is a #@$%^!

This is no easy task. However, those of us responsible for figuring out that part are committed to this.

So, the new campaign, when it's launched will be:

Please support if you haven't or forward our info to anyone who can and will be interested.

Thanks for caring.

The Indie Battle continues

We've decided that we must get the word out about "Glo," before anything. That in order to get an eye of interest, before the actual film - we have to go to folks who are connected to the issues the film touches upon. People will see merit and might even be inspired to follow us on Twitter: http://twitter.com/#!/Glothefilm, Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Glo/104700986306571?sk=wall or donate (new crowd-funding site coming keep checking). It's been a fight through the elements, sort of speak - to find our strongest base, then the crowd-funding platform that works with our aims or Timeline. Fight animay.gif Pictures, Images and Photos Indie GO GO didn't work because it looks slightly obscure, the design unsophisticated plus for us the production - we were being charged monthly to have it up. Plus there is a fee that is taken out when you collect funds for the service of hosting you (all crowd-funds). So, if you don't make in the hundreds off your supporters it really isn't worth it. Kickstarter was the next. Kickstarter has a "brighter," platform which is more well known and reputable, but we started it and didn't have enough of a base of people might glance at the site. The strength of Kickstarter is based on an already existent circle of she simply didn't have enough people being engaged ongoing. (The others on her Facebook - Kickstarter encourages you tap this network - are fans who may have joined in a one-time reaction to a film they saw online.) The team organized to reach out, met obstacles, figuring out how to move past them. They finally came out with a new strategy: to expand the scope of what was being done with the film. They decided to explore the issues with the public, with a donation being the result of people liking the experience. This a bigger result than simply seeking a donation, a way to give back? So it was decided the company would hold anti-bias forums, hosting real conversation around it, make bias toward transgender individuals a strong part of the focus, as it was reason for constructing the film. However, Kickstarter didn't work either. Once the team figured out what needed to be done by doing what didn't - the month Kickstarter allows for your fundraising purposes had been eaten up. Raising $15,000 in two weeks just wasn't going to happen so fast. Much Kudos for the filmmmakers who continue to work on this issue and film and to the supporters, hanging in til we figure out the fundraising challenge! Continue on team!!!! -Ann GIF by Draconavitch

Kickstarter multimedia lookbook video

Concerning the Kickstarter multimedia lookbook video - all copyrights are property of their respective owners; I’m not selling these clips or even using the sound, so I hope this video doesn’t run afoul of anyone.

If it does and you would like me to abstract your video from the edit, I can be contacted via glofilmprod@gmail.com

In that case the video clip in question will be taken down.

Thanks so much!

The Director's Musical Wish List

I'd like the first half of the film to be Drum & Bass and DubStep!

"I'm not your TOY! (Ha)!"

*All the videos here are compliments of UKFDubstep Youtube channel on Youtube. These artists are not part of the film, though I hope to hear back from Nero's management. I would love them to contribute anything to the film. Anyway, each artist whose mixes these videos boast retain rights to their own mixes. This is only a wish list so people know what kind of music I'd like to have in the first half my film.
